Judgment Day

No. 189

This video depicts Jonathan Edwards’ Table to his “Miscellanies” and the highlighted red nodes indicated entries dealing with judgment and justice.

Edwards notes that that this world must eventually come to an end. The force of mutual attraction, the gradual wearing away of matter, and the waning of the earth's surface will inevitably lead to its destruction.

But who can imagine that this earth, which God has made for one of the dwelling places of his reasonable creatures, who God doubtless placed here for some business—I say, who can imagine that it should be utterly destroyed, without God's taking any notice of or saying anything about what has been done upon it, but let all the transactions of mankind go off in public silence, without his sentence about 'em? - WJE 13:343
